Founded in 1937 in France, CITEL is a prominent industrial group specializing in surge protection solutions for electrical, communication, and data technology systems. Initially manufacturing tubular light bulbs, CITEL shifted focus to surge protection, producing its first surge arrester in 1944. The company offers a comprehensive range of products, including gas discharge tubes, AC surge protectors, and solutions for LED lighting and solar energy systems. With manufacturing facilities in France and China and sales offices worldwide, CITEL continues to innovate in protecting installations from transient over-voltages caused by switching events and lightning strikes.
